Dear Saints,

It is an honor to be the Head Varsity Football Coach of the Santa Maria Saints. As a longtime resident of Santa Maria, I remember the great days of Santa Maria High School Football. While a young boy, I remember the great Santa Maria teams led by Barney Ames. On Friday nights, Dave Boyd Field was packed with crazed fans and the environment was electrifying. That same excitement is back. 

The philosophy of this program is to create an environment that allows the student-athlete to foster a sense of ownership, responsibility, pride, and motivation to be a better person, student, and athlete each day they step foot on the Santa Maria High School campus.

As a coaching staff, we have set some goals for the upcoming season. In general, we look to establish pride in the program, ourselves, and our style of play. Specifically, we want to strive for excellence during games, practice, school, and at home. Our style of play will exhibit hustle, our appearance impeccable, our actions disciplined, and our attitude confident. All of which will lead to a first class athletic program, which understands that perfection is impossible, but with enough hard work, dedication, and discipline, we will create champions.
