School-Wide Expectations

At SMHS, we believe that every student has the potential to lead, grow, and thrive. Our school-wide expectations, known as SAINT, guide us in creating a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all.

The SAINT principles: Show Respect, Act Responsibly, Inspire Others, Never Give Up, and Think Big – Dream Bigger, are more than just words. They reflect the behaviors and attitudes we encourage every day in our classrooms, hallways, and beyond. These expectations help us build a school culture where students are taught how to succeed, recognized for their efforts, and supported when challenges arise.

We understand that every student is unique, and we are committed to meeting individual needs through a layered approach to support. Whether it’s helping students stay on track academically, guiding them through social-emotional growth, or encouraging positive choices, our goal is to ensure that every SAINT has the tools and encouragement to become the best version of themselves.

Together, we are building a community where students dream big, act with integrity, and lift each other up—because at SMHS, success is something we achieve together.
